Full-time | starts at $20.76+ per hour
This position works hands-on with the dogs, cats and critters doing everything from deep cleaning to exercising the animals and providing enrichment. Our animal caregivers are dedicated to the overall well-being of every animal at Emerald City Pet Rescue.
Animal Rescue Caregiver Job Duties:

Ensure the animal’s safety and well-being.
-
Provide access to fresh and clean water. Give animal’s clean and comfortable bedding.

Take animals out at regular intervals. Unless the animal has medical restrictions, animals should be taken out every 2 to 4 hours.

Observe and monitor animals by completing health logs and further communicating any other observations as needed to appropriate sources.

Give the animal’s daily enrichment.
-
Clean urine, stool, and other messes whenever it occurs.
-
Assist with dishes, laundry and other team responsibilities when needed.

Stay up to date about the animals by reading their kennel cards, signs and reading shift report notes, including shift reports for shifts not worked.

If there is ever extra time, animal caregivers should participate in further deep cleaning and organizing of the facility. It is also important that we maintain a clean environment throughout the workday. This means along with the general cleaning we provide the animals; we should also take steps to keep the facility organized and keeping a general eye for cleanliness.

Oversight of necessary chores and facilities management with ability to execute when needed.

Document and clearly relay information to the appropriate systems and departments.

Maintains safe, secure, and healthy work environment by following standards and procedures, complying with federal and state legal regulations and Infection Control plans

Work Environment:
This job is onsite in Seattle, Washington. The work environment described herein represents the activities and surroundings of the position. The work environment is in indoor and outdoor setting with moderate to extremely loud noise levels.

Rescue Coordinator

We are looking for an energetic Rescue Coordinator to join our team and be a friendly face and voice to those inquiring about our homeless pets. Help us towards our mission to protect, nurture and rehabilitate homeless pets around our community and the world by helping them find their forever homes.
​Rescue Coordinator Job Duties

Receptionist duties including answering phones, responding to emails, and welcoming walk-ins.

Schedule appointments via Outlook calendar.
-
Facilitate the adoption process including adopter surveys, pet wait lists, and contracts.
-
Coordinate, schedule, and conduct meet and greets between pets and potential adopters.
-
Accurately manage adoptable and adopted pet files (e.g. Pet Point, server and hard copy).
-
Conduct follow up calls and transfer microchips for adopted pets.
-
Research and write comprehensive profiles of animals to be posted for adoption and update as needed.
-
Process donations including monetary and physical items.
-
Manage foster department process to place animals and handle ongoing needs of foster pets and foster parents.
-
Work collaboratively between all departments including medical care, animal care, and equine as needed.

Take initiative on projects, professionally represent the organization, and exhibit commitment to overall goals and deadlines set by management.

Regular and timely attendance.

Perform work on weekends and evenings as needed to meet applicable deadlines.

Cross train in other departments including animal care and foster.

Other duties as assigned which may be outside of the stated job scope.

2+ years’ experience in a professional office setting preferred.
