Sahara is a horse who knows she deserves love, and she’s very happy to take it and give it back to our staff. She came from a shelter in California as a 6 month old, so she has grown up with us at Emerald City Pet Rescue. Her best-known trait is sticking her tongue out the side of her mouth and rubbing your shoulder while clicking. With her favorite people, she’s learning to be more polite when communicating what she wants, and she loves to spend time with them. Out in the pasture Sahara is the leader of our girls group; Arizona, Sedona, Tucson, Baby V, Kahili, and Velvet. She took this group of mares who supposedly couldn’t go together and brought them into one big happy (mostly) family. Her confidence is infectious and she’s more than happy to take the lead.
