Miss Sammi is a barn favorite, and was relinquished to us after her previous owner could not keep her. This 16 hands, gentle mare is no small quarter horse. Sammi is always watching out for everyone keeping them safe and busy giving her scratches. Her slow and gentle personality often comes out in a jigging walk when leading but she’ll always stay close to her person. One of our longest sanctuary members, she is adaptable, and loves meeting new people and has picked up a few tricks along the way! She smiles, spins, jumps and knows how to encourage people to give her butt scritches by backing up sneakily to anyone in the pasture with her. She will stand for hours for a good grooming session, especially in spring when losing her winter coat. You’ll find her napping in her pasture, as best friend Stormy keeps watch over her!
