Sky was the first horse rescued by our founder, and became one of the founding sanctuary residents - along with Kachina. When Riverbottom Rescue of California informed us of a neglectful situation, we partnered with them on having Sky relinquished by his owner. It was a joy to bring him to his new forever home on Vashon - carrying promise for the future of the sanctuary. Sky’s laid back and inquisitive nature always creates a fun environment, bringing smiles to everyone around him. He’s known to rest his head on your shoulder should the opportunity arise. Sky is currently working with our top handlers on learning good manners and engaging that big brain of his!
