Velvet, with he stunning red coat, joined the rescue as a young foal with her mother, Raine from the California Humane Society bringing with her, her drive for learning new things and causing extra stress on the handlers with her curiosity. Quick to learn and an extremely playful personality, she loves to follow her handlers around and search their pockets for spare treats. Our Founder taught her at an early age how to give kisses! She especially loves it when they bring out grooming kits, taking all the brushes and tossing them around. A ringleader in our largest turnout group, she is often found buddy grooming her Bestie, Sahara throughout the day and racing Kahili around the pasture.
